The thirty-fifth National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) Shaungqing forum with a theme of the hydrology and water resources and water environment research frontier was held in the International Academic Exchange Center of Wuhan University during December 25^th to the 28^th , 2008. More than sixty experts coming from China, USA and Canadaattended the conference. Prof. Wang Chao made a keynote speech at the conference, and Prof. Peng Shizhang, Zhang Xinnan, Chen Xi and Liu Ling presented at the conference.
