The 16th IAHR-APD and The 3rd IAHR-ISHS Congress took place in Hohai University during October 20 to 23. The congress is sponsored by IAHR, organized by Hohai University, and supported by Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute as well as the Hydro-Lab. The theme of the congress is “Water and Humanity — Friendship, Harmony and Sustainable Development”. Over 600 participants coming from different countries attended the congress, and 400 papers were included in the conference proceedings.
