The 19^th International Symposium on Human and Environmental Society, hosted by the International Human and Environmental Society was held in Alexander, Egypt. Professor Shi Guoqing, researcher of the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering, Dean of College of Public Administration of Hohai University, Director of immigration research centre and Doctorate supervisor, attended the symposium. Prof. Shi made a report on “Chinese unwilling-immigration politics and compensation standard”, and was invited to host the session of “unwilling-immigration, sustainable development of society and environmental risks”, which received good comments and attentions of the coming representatives.

The symposium consisted of several parts including keynote speeches, academic lectures and discussions. Four parts and 21 subjects were included in the symposium covering the environment, health, society and culture and their relative sustainable development as well as global environment problems. More than 200 delegates attended the symposium from 70 countries and areas all over the world, among them, 2 from mainland China, and 1 from Taiwan, China.
