On Oct.15th, 2006, Professor DON SIEGEL, from American Syracuse University, was invited to proceed an academic visit to the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources And Hydraulic Engineering, Hohai University, and gave a report on " Using Isotopic Methods to Characterize Groundwater Hydrology at Multiple Scales Across Multiple Settings " and "Identifying Hydrologic and Geochemical Processes". The report was hosted by Prof. Ren liliang, vice director of the State Key Laboratory, dean of water resources and environment college, and Associate professor Wangling listened to the report.
Professor DON SIEGEL, from Earth Science College of American Syracuse University, is member of American Geology Committee, American Geophysics Association, Wetland Scientist Association, National Groundwater Association, Institute of Geo-Chemistry, and American Association for the Advancement of Science. He is mainly engaged in research of hydrologic geology, water resources, geochemistry and wetland ecology. He has published 5 monographs, as well as many academic papers in the famous journals of 《Nature》,《Science》,《Water Resources Research》,《Journal of Hydrology》. He was appointed as the Academician of Geological Society of America since 1995, and was granted many excellent contribution awards from Hydrologic Geology Division of Academician of Geological Society of America.
