On Dec. 12th, a delegation from Vietnam Hydraulic Research Institute made an academic visit to our university. Prof. Chen Tinghai, vice director of the institute, led the group visit the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering. They were very interested in establishment and running of the laboratory. Prof. Yan Yixin, vice president of Hohai University, Prof. Peng Shizhang, director of the State Key Laboratory, and Mr. Zhu Zhengdong, deputy chief of International cooperation and educational Division met the delegation, introduced conditions the laboratory, and showed welcome of excellent Vietnamese researchers to visit the State Key Laboratory. Professor Chen Tinghai also introduced the current situation of the State Key laboratory in Vietnam and the direction of improvement. After the visit, they expressed their appreciation of the advanced equipment in the laboratory and great technique forces. They wish to seek all around cooperation with the lab. Besides, both sides held discussions on terms of the personnel promotion and further academic exchanges.
