Prof. Wang Hao (1953-), academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, born in Beijing. He graduated from the Department of Hydraulic Engineering of Tsinghua University, specialized in Water Resources in 1982, the Department of Engineering Hydrology and Hydroelectric Station Engineering in 1985, specialized in hydrology and Hydro-power station, and the Department of System Engineering of the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University in 1989, specialized in system engineering. In 1992, he was awarded the United Nation’s scholarship and went to the Risk Research Centre of University of Virginia, America to study risk decision making theory. He is the engineer-in-chief of China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR), vice director of Academic Committee of IWHR, editor of "Hydroelectric Resources Science" and  "Transaction of China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research".
