Vincent Post is a Senior Lecturer at
Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia. He obtained a PhD in hydrogeology from the VU University in Amsterdam in 2004. His research focuses on the fate of solutes in groundwater, in particular in coastal regions. He is one of the lead developers of the
PHT3D code, a three-dimensional reactive transport simulator with capabilities for variable-density and unsaturated flow. He has worked on study sites in the Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, and the Pacific Ocean. He was the lead author of a Nature paper that was published in 2013 in which it was demonstrated that freshwater reserves under the seafloor are a global phenomenon. He served as an editor for Hydrogeology Journal between 2010 and 2015, and is the author of 40 refereed journal articles.
