Major research interests focus on the fields of basic theories of hydrology, water resource systems analysis and flood simulation for flood defending systems. Made great achievements in optimal water resources allocation, flood simulation for flood defending systems, and watershed rainfall flood utilization, and the research results have been successfully applied in practices. Led or took part in over 30 key projects funded by provinces and ministries in China. He has published 1 book and 25 papers, 4 of which have been indexed by EI. He won one second class National Prizes for the Progress in Science and Technology, as well as one first class and one second class ministry prizes for progress in science and technology. He was selected as one of Young and Middle-aged Leaders of science and technology by the Jiangsu Province 333 High Level Talents Program.
